'Fire Fly' original painting

The contrasting hues of orange and white, juxtaposed against a sky filled with clouds, create a visually striking and assertive painting. I image hints of the flight of a majestic Phoenix, inflamed and in flight. This work was painted as part of a 5 painting series, Sky And... 2019-2026 series, titled 'Fire Fly'.

Artist begins each of series with a sky study on stretched canvas, with acrylic paint. Once the sky is completed and cured, the artist interprets the mood and message of the sky impression to begin the overlay of line, shape and form, with a complimentary fiery Cadmium Orange and and Titanium White. Each piece in the series is spontaneous and unplanned. As painting is born alive as we each are. Each piece measures 11" x 14" and is displayed in a sleek white floating frame with a black inset.
